About the Role
As General Manager, you will have full strategic and operational responsibility for Sunnybank Private Hospital. Your leadership will focus on strengthening execution, embedding consistent ways of working, and aligning teams around a shared direction. This includes leading performance across clinical, financial, and cultural domains, and setting a tone of calm, clear, and consistent leadership. The role requires someone who can provide strategic clarity and disciplined follow-through ensuring people feel heard, respected, and involved, while seeing decisions made and executed.
You will partner closely with VMOs, staff, and external stakeholders to drive site-based initiatives and deliver private growth outcomes. Importantly, you will bring structure and momentum, fostering a culture of engagement, accountability, and performance. Your success will be built on your ability to translate strategy into focused local execution, while balancing commercial priorities with a positive and stable workplace culture.
About You
You are a grounded and credible executive with a track record of leading complex healthcare operations, ideally within the private sector. You are known for your structured and steady leadership style, and your ability to build trust through clarity, predictability, and delivery. With a clear sense of direction, you are able to set expectations, maintain accountability, and lead through change with confidence.
You bring:
* Experience in hospital operations, with proven success across clinical, commercial, and workforce outcomes
* A leadership style that is clear, calm, and consistent, fostering trust and follow-through
* Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to align teams and partners around common goals
* The ability to drive execution discipline and embed high-performance behaviours across the hospital
* A focus on building role clarity, leadership capability, and consistent decision-making processes
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree and postgraduate qualification (mandatory)
* MBA or Master's degree (desirable)
* Clinical or sector experience (advantageous)
