The Opportunity
At The Kids Research Institute Australia, our vision is simple – Happy, Healthy Kids.
As part of the Embrace Student Internship Program, we now have an exciting opportunity for a Research Assistant to contribute to Trans Pathways 2, a follow‐up of the original Trans Pathways study which aims to collect updated data on the mental health and care pathways of trans young people. This includes gaining insight into and informing unique and appropriate supports for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander trans youth.
The Research Assistant will work closely with Aboriginal researchers, Senior Research Officer and other team members at The Kids to support the recruitment, community engagement and data collection of the study that is focused on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander trans young people's mental health and support needs. This role offers a unique opportunity to apply research skills, capacity building and gain hands‐on experience in a research environment.
