We are currently seeking a talented and dedicated Commis Chef / Demi Chef to join our team and contribute to our culinary success.

Job Description:

As a Commis Chef / Demi Chef or CDP at The Coppersmith Hotel, you will work alongside a passionate team in a fast-paced kitchen. You'll be involved in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of high-quality dishes, ensuring that food meets the highest standards of taste and presentation. You will also have the opportunity to expand your skills under the guidance of experienced chefs.

Key Responsibilities:

* Assist with the preparation and cooking of food items for service, following the restaurant's recipes and quality standards.
* Support the Head Chef and Sous Chefs in all areas of kitchen operations, including food preparation and presentation.
* Ensure that food is prepared in a timely manner and in accordance with hygiene and food safety regulations.
* Help with stock management, including ordering, storage, and rotation.
* Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following all health and safety protocols.
* Contribute to menu development and the creation of daily specials.
* Take responsibility for sections of the kitchen as required during busy periods.

* Proven experience working in a commercial kitchen, with an understanding of various cooking techniques.
* A relevant culinary qualification or apprenticeship is preferred.
* Strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and the ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Attention to detail and a passion for producing high-quality dishes.
* A willingness to learn and adapt, with a desire to grow within the kitchen team.
