Cognitive Behavioural Therapist - Newcastle
Location: Mindplace Newcastle, Metrocentre, Gateshead, NE11 9YG
Job Type: Permanent. Part‑time hours available (Minimum of 2 days per week)

Session Requirements
* Monday to Friday: Early shift 08:00‑16:00, Late shift 14:00‑22:00
* At least one late shift per week
* Saturdays: 08:30‑17:00 (at least 1 in every 3 weekends, may vary by location)
* Each day will include 5 appointments
Your Role
Provide high‑quality, safe and effective Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver high‑quality CBT or brief interventions achieving excellent clinical outcomes.
* Conduct comprehensive assessments and formulations to drive evidence‑based interventions.
* Provide face‑to‑face, telephone or video consultations based on client preference.
* Adhere to Bupa case‑management processes and collaborate with Clinical Leads and therapy team.
* Maintain session limits based on client's private medical insurance allowance while pursuing therapeutic goals.
* Provide signposting or onward referrals when required.
* Offer ad‑hoc or one‑off wellbeing support and coaching.
* Conduct one‑off assessments and referral recommendations when needed.
* Deliver group psychoeducation sessions, workshops, and training on mental health and wellbeing.
* Work autonomously within professional guidelines and Bupa's service policies.
* Attend regular clinical supervision (individual and group).
* Collaborate with operational and clinical teams to improve client and employee experiences.
Essential
* Post‑Graduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT/High Intensity) accredited by BABCP.
* Full BABCP accreditation.
* At least 2 years' experience delivering high‑intensity CBT to working‑age clients.
Desirable
* Training and accreditation in additional specialised areas (e.g., EMDR).
* Corporate experience and business understanding.
* Leadership and management skills.
Key Skills & Experience
* Adult mental health specialism experience.
* Proficient IT skills, Microsoft Systems, and electronic medical record systems.
* Ability to evaluate, plan and prioritise workload within demanding time‑scales.
* Customer service and client liaison experience.
* Strong clinical knowledge and application.
* Excellent presentation and interpersonal communication skills.
* Professional and personal drive, self‑motivated and self‑sufficient.
* Quick decision‑making and problem‑solving capability.
* Team player and ability to manage own caseload toward targets and outcomes.
* Efficient diary management and utilisation goals.
* High standards in written and oral communication.
* Diverse clinical experience to draw upon.
