The Governance Coordinator supports the effective operation of the university's governance framework by providing high-quality secretariat services to the University Council and its committees, and by assisting with governance-related advice, reporting, and administrative processes. The role contributes to the integrity and efficiency of institutional decision-making by ensuring governance activities are well-documented, compliant, and aligned with best practice. The Governance Coordinator will also contribute to general governance responsibilities such as record compliance and coordination of the University's Annual Report.
The role sits within the Vice-Chancellor's Office (VCO), which is an important enabler for the University, driving strategic alignment and supporting colleagues across the University to implement strategy, boost external engagement and streamline governance and policy. The VCO brings together the divisions of Government and Community Relations, Strategy Division and Governance and Policy Division, as well as roles encompassing operational and administrative support for the Vice-Chancellor and Council.
