We are currently seeking a compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Residential Care Officer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a sound understanding of person-centred care principles, experience working in a residential, group housing and supported accommodation setting, and a strong commitment to supporting individuals with complex needs in achieving their goals. Benefits Task & responsibilities Ensure the safety, supervision, and well-being of residents in a group housing environment Assist in assessing client needs and implementing individualised care and support plans Support residents to develop daily living skills and increase independence Implement planned activities and programs for residents individually and in groups Monitor client progress and maintain accurate records and reports Observe and report changes in client behaviour, health, and well-being Assist in accessing appropriate health, welfare, and community services Support families and maintain positive relationships with residents Assist in the implementation of behaviour support and management strategies
Work collaboratively with team members and follow direction from supervisors Respond to enquiries from residents, families, and stakeholders appropriately Qualification & experience Qualifications and other requirements expected from a Residential Care Officer Diploma level qualifications in Community Services Sector A recent minimum of one year of relevant experience working similar role within the the SRS as a Residential Care officer. Ability to work independently and without supervision.
