Overview
As a Technical Lead specializing in Adobe Commerce (Magento) and Pimcore, you will guide and manage a team of developers to deliver high-quality e-commerce solutions. You will provide technical leadership, ensure best practices are followed, and participate in hands-on development. Your role will involve overseeing the technical aspects of projects, mentoring team members, and ensuring the successful delivery of client solutions.
Responsibilities
* Technical Leadership
* Provide technical direction and leadership for projects involving Magento and Pimcore.
* Define and enforce coding standards, best practices, and development workflows.
* Conduct code reviews and ensure the delivery of high-quality, maintainable code.
* Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in e-commerce and PHP development.
* Collaborate with the Chief Product Officer to lead technology strategy.
* Manage cutting-edge technologies to improve legacy applications.
* Evaluate and develop initial engineering processes.
* Stay updated with emerging technologies and incorporate them into projects.
* Team Management
* Lead, mentor, and manage a team of developers.
* Mentor fellow engineers, sharing knowledge and supporting the team's growth.
* Assign tasks based on strengths and project requirements.
* Foster a collaborative, innovative, and productive team environment.
* Identify training needs and provide opportunities for professional growth.
* Collaborate with Sales Team, Business Analyst, and/or Solution Architect to assist in providing estimates for upcoming projects and tasks.
* Collaborate with project managers to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables.
* Assist with technical advice to break down complex projects into manageable tasks and milestones.
* Monitor task progress and identify potential issues, suggesting and implementing solutions to stay on track.
* Ensure timely delivery of tasks while maintaining high quality standards.
* Development & Implementation
* Participate in hands-on development, especially for critical or complex components.
* Develop, customize, and maintain Magento and Pimcore-based solutions.
* Integrate third-party extensions and develop custom modules as needed.
* Ensure scalability, performance, and security of e-commerce solutions.
* Manage a project's CI/CD pipelines, deployments, releases, and other technical processes per standards.
* Participate in product design and development of new features.
* Design, code, and troubleshoot new features, with debugging as necessary.
* Work closely with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
* Write clean code to develop functional web applications and optimize performance.
* Review and provide feedback on code and design.
* Manage tools and processes for analytics data and metrics that measure quality of user experience.
* Collaborate with designers, QA testers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
* Work with back-end and front-end teams to deliver a reliable user experience.
* Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align development with business goals.
* Communicate technical concepts and project status to non-technical stakeholders.
* Facilitate regular team meetings and progress updates.
* Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and technical expertise.
Required Skills & QualificationsTechnical Skills
* Extensive experience with PHP development and related frameworks.
* Deep understanding of Magento 1 and 2, including custom module development.
* Hands-on experience with Pimcore implementation and customization.
* Experience with MySQL databases and query optimization.
* Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git.
