ABOUT THE ROLE
Due to business growth we are currently looking for a highly motivated and safety focused Operations Controller to join our dedicated Bulk Chemical team, based in Altona on a full time basis. This is an ideal role for those who are wanting to commence their career in Transport and Logistics!
Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, this position will be primarily responsible for:
1. Coordination and scheduling of fleet & staff movement including monitoring hours and delays;
2. Allocation and coordination of customer bookings & deliveries in a timely and efficient manner in alignment with business expectations;
3. Building relationships with our current customer base and ensuring a high level of service is offered;
4. Out of hours on-call rotating roster;
5. Monitor and manage all aspects of fatigue compliance;
6. Assisting with payroll-related activities;
7. Accurate management of up to date driver paperwork in accordance with legislative and business requirements.
8. Assisting with the commercial process of the division when required.

To be successful in this dynamic role you will have:
9. Experience within a similar role, ideally within transport and logistics;
10. Willingness to collaborate within a motivated team;
11. Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
12. A high level of computer literacy and attention to detail;
13. Previous experience or understanding of COR, NHVAS, BFM and Mass Management compliance accreditation systems and regulatory requirements;
14. The ability to do some short term travel, if required.
