An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Dental Nurse to join Mid Yorkshire Teaching Trust (MYTT). Our highly experienced team provide Orthodontic, Oral and Head and Neck care for patients across the Mid Yorkshire area.
We have two part-time permanent, positions available although full time may also be considered working across trust sites including community.
Main duties of the job
As part of the team, you will be responsible for providing assistance with clinical duties, chairside support for colleagues with a varied skill mix. The successful candidate will work alongside our Oral and Facial Specialities Team and Orthodontic Team. Carry out specific clinical and care tasks to a high standard and competency, under the direction of the Registered Care Professionals depending on setting.

Job responsibilities
Qualifications
* Registered Dental nurse with NEBDN national Diploma in Dental Nursing or equivalent.
Experience
* Experience/training to Diploma level or equivalent.
* Good interpersonal and communication skills
* Good time management skills including ability to work to set deadlines.
* Ability to work well as part of the team
* Ability to work flexibly, quickly and accurately.
Knowledge and Awareness
* To have an understanding of the types of patients treated by the Community Dental Services
* To have a good knowledge of :
* Infection control
* Work prioritisation
* Health & Safety issues.
Skills and Abilities
* Develop and maintain positive working relationships
* Maintain a safe working environment for self and others
* Willingness to take on tasks.
* Good skills both written and verbal to communicate with patients with learning disabilities and all Community Dental Services patient groups
* Computer skills and ability to learn clinical applications of computer system currently in use
