UGL's Newcastle Operations team is looking for an experienced Inventory Controller to join us and help keep our critical operations running smoothly.

About Your Role\:
In this role, you'll take ownership of inventory accuracy, stocktakes, reporting and compliance across Newcastle Operations. You'll work closely with our warehousing and production teams to support daily operations, manage inbound inspection requirements and drive continuous improvement.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Lead all stock takes and ensure inventory accuracy
* Manage quarantined goods and inbound inspections
* Provide support to production teams for planned and urgent activities
* Produce regular inventory reports (fortnightly to yearly)
* Participate in daily pre‑starts and toolbox meetings
* Improve processes across safety, quality, and efficiency
* Maintain storage standards, housekeeping and record‑keeping compliance
About You:
Must‑haves:
* Certificate IV in Warehousing Operations (or equivalent experience)
* Forklift and scissor‑lift high‑risk licences
* 5+ years' experience in inventory/procurement/warehousing using SAP MRP
* 5+ years in a manufacturing environment
* Ability to read engineering drawings
* Strong MS Word, Excel and computer skills
Nice to have:
* Experience in rail, automotive, Defence, avionics or another safety‑critical environment
Strong communication, relationship‑building and prioritisation skills
