The Opportunity
We are seeking two Senior Solution Architects (EL2-equivalent) to support a major, high-profile Commonwealth ICT programme on an initial 12-month engagement.
In this role, you will set the technical direction for key initiatives, develop coherent solution designs and future-state views, and work closely with senior business and ICT stakeholders to align technology change with organisational priorities.
You will be embedded in a small, highly skilled team, contributing your expertise across multiple projects, providing architectural advice, reviewing designs and helping to mature architecture practices.
The role suits an experienced architect who enjoys tackling large, interdependent systems, engaging with non-technical stakeholders, and lifting the capability of those around them.
Key Responsibilities
Develop solution architectures and designs aligned to enterprise architecture principles, standards and strategy.
Work with business leaders, project managers and ICT teams to clarify needs and design fit-for-purpose solutions.
Analyse complex architecture problems and contribute to strategies, patterns and roadmaps for key platforms and capabilities.
Create and maintain high-quality architecture artefacts and models using recognised tools (such as Sparx Enterprise Architect).
Provide guidance, mentoring and knowledge transfer to uplift architecture capability and improve ICT practices.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Senior Solution Architect (or EL2-equivalent) delivering complex enterprise, business, systems and solution architectures in large organisations.
Demonstrated ability to analyse complex architecture problems and develop clear solution options, strategies and roadmaps.
Strong consulting and stakeholder skills, with experience working closely with business leaders, project managers and ICT teams to shape and explain solution designs.
Experience creating and maintaining architecture artefacts and models using recognised tools and methods (such as Sparx Enterprise Architect).
Demonstrated commitment to mentoring and knowledge sharing, staying current with ICT trends, and contributing to improved ICT practices and procedures.
Must be an Australian citizen
Must be able to obtain an NV1 Security Clearance
