The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the preparation, storage, and serving of meals according to residents' dietary needs and the food safety plan. This role requires maintaining high standards of hygiene, ensuring meals meet nutritional and cultural preferences of residents, and overseeing documentation related to food safety, meals records, and stock levels.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in preparing, storing, and serving meals according to residents' dietary needs and the food safety plan.
* Ensure meals meet nutritional and cultural preferences of residents.
* Maintain high standards of hygiene and comply with food safety regulations.
* Set and arrange tables and chairs as per procedures.
* Wash dishes, clean workbenches and maintain a tidy kitchen and dining area.
* Assist with cleaning duties across the facility as required.
* Report any faulty kitchen equipment and maintain compliance with safety standards.
Requirements:
* Food handling certificate is essential but not limited to.
* Previous experience with food handling and cleaning.
* Minimum 1 year experience in the Aged Care Sector.
* Proven skills around infection control and safe food handling.
* Proficiency in communication and teamwork.
* Preferred background in aged care or a related field.
* NSW Food Safety Supervisor but not limited to.
* Cert III in Commercial Cookery but not limited to.
* Need to be able to work weekends and afternoon shifts.
