Logistics Manager
AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centres and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that keep the cloud running. You'll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles to deliver safety, security, and limitless capacity at the lowest cost.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage, coach, and develop Logistics Specialists using formal and informal training programs.
* Generate and communicate highly accurate, accessible inventory metrics to stakeholders.
* Develop and implement metrics to gauge employee performance.
* Train hourly associates on required department processes.
* Run stock level reports, analyze results, and optimize on‑hand stock levels to reduce cost‑to‑serve and increase efficiency.
* Set and monitor inventory levels of stock rooms to support build and repair activities.
* Work closely with the logistics purchasing team to maintain appropriate cluster‑level stock levels.
* Design, assess, and implement new strategies and initiatives to continuously exceed customer expectations.
* Apply Lean processes for continuous improvement.
* Creative problem‑solving and decision‑making in a highly ambiguous environment.
Qualifications
* 3+ years of people‑management experience.
* Experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, or import/export operations.
* Experience in a data centre or other critical environment.
* Excellent verbal and written communication.
* Tertiary degree or equivalent industry/military experience.
Hold or be able to attain an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency clearance.
