Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Educator to work closely with teachers in implementing effective educational programs and fostering a supportive environment for students with special needs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and Behaviour Support Plans, ensuring seamless coordination between educators and support staff.
* Provide targeted support to students with disabilities, including those requiring colostomy bag and PEG/PEJ tube care, promoting independence and self-advocacy.
* Assist with daily living requirements, including Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC), enhancing student outcomes and engagement.
Requirements:
* Proven experience working with students with special needs, demonstrating adaptability and a growth mindset.
* Exceptional interpersonal skills, enabling strong relationships with students, teachers, and support staff.
* Comprehensive knowledge of health and physical disabilities in students and adolescents, ensuring informed and responsive practice.
