HOBAN Recruitment are currently sourcing an experienced APS5 Level Finance Officer to work with our client who is an independent statutory agency, responsible for supporting thousands of Australians with a significant and permanent disability and their families and carers.
The Financial Control Branch is responsible for the financial management of the Agency and provides insightful financial reporting to enable strategic decision making.
Key accountabilities include producing audited annual financial statements, the Annual Report, budgets, monthly financial reports and forecasts.

- 12-month contract
- $55 per hour excluding superannuation
**About the role**
- Assisting with asset management.
- Costing proposals and initiatives as required.
- Drafting a range of written material including business cases, reports, executive briefs and corporate documentation.
- Establishing, managing, and providing financial management advice to internal and external
- stakeholders to improve the financial management and operations in the agency.
- Undertaking financial administration across the division's cost centres and projects.
- Undertaking weekly, end of month and end of financial year SAP FI system rollover activities and provide assistance to users of SAP FI as required.
**About you**
- ** Must be an Australian Citizen**:
- Demonstrated experience in a Finance function, ideally in Government or in a large organisation
- Demonstrated experience measuring and reporting on compliance with approved policies/procedures
- Demonstrated ability to interpret, analyse, and present data
- Proficient use of Excel
- Demonstrated ability to work well in a small team
- Experience in SAP (desirable)
- CPA Qualification or substantial progress towards (desirable)
