Working with Children and Families
The role of Mental Health Clinician, Child involves working in partnership with children and young people, carers and primary care providers to deliver an evidence-based response to young people aged 12-18 years with or at risk of serious mental illness. The successful applicant will work towards extending the service to encompass children and adolescents aged 0-18 years with or at risk of serious mental illness.
Key Responsibilities:
* Working therapeutically with children and young people and their families or carers with complex or high needs who may be difficult to engage, as well as organizing referrals to appropriate services.
* Working within existing multidisciplinary teams to coordinate delivery of an evidence-based response to children and young people with or at risk of serious mental illness.
Requirements:
* A Registered Psychologist, Occupational Therapist Lvl 1/2 Social Worker Lvl 1/2 with qualifications relevant to the role.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Capacity to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
