The Opportunity
Reporting to the Director of Marketing, this Marketing Manager will play a crucial role in leading the next chapter of OnDeck's brand story in Australia. This role is perfect for a strategic thinker with a hands-on creative flair, strong storytelling ability, and a passion for building brand presence through both owned and earned channels. You'll be responsible for shaping how OnDeck shows up in the market — from creative campaigns and brand development to media relations, PR, thought leadership, and content strategy. Working closely with our leadership, sales, and external partners, you'll help elevate OnDeck\'s profile and connection with small businesses across the country.
Key Responsibilities
* Brand & Creative Leadership: Drive OnDeck Australia\'s brand identity, creative campaigns, and storytelling across all channels, working with external partners.
* Communications & PR: Lead PR and communications to boost OnDeck\'s media presence and reputation, including media relations and executive thought leadership.
* Content & Campaign Development: Oversee content creation and collaborate on integrated marketing campaigns to engage small businesses and articulate OnDeck\'s value.
* Brand Performance & Reporting: Monitor brand health, media coverage, and campaign performance, using insights to identify opportunities for brand amplification.
The ideal candidate
* Passionate about small business and shaping the way they experience finance
* Able to seamlessly switch between high-level strategy and hands-on execution
* A resilient, solutions-focused individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment
* 7-10+ years' experience in brand, creative marketing, and communications, preferably within financial services, insurance or fintech
* A proven track record in building brand presence and executing creative, integrated marketing campaigns
* Strong PR, media relations, and storytelling skills — you know how to craft a narrative and secure coverage
* Experience managing external agencies, creative partners and content suppliers
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for design, tone, and brand consistency
