About The Role

As a Field Application Engineer (FAE) we will expose and train you on the portfolio of the world's top semiconductor manufacturers that offer cutting edge technology solutions. You will work with and recommend engineering solutions to original equipment manufacturers across your market segments including automotive, industrial, military, commercial, medical, solid-state lighting and many others.

You will work with Account Managers, Technical Specialist, and Product Marketing to develop and execute successful demand creation programs leading to successful sales growth and customer expansion for Future Electronics and our strategic suppliers within your assigned region.

The role involves both technical engagement and administrative tasks with an significant portion of time is spent customer facing. Of note is that the position will cover customers across Melbourne, Perth and Adelaide.

What You'll Do (responsibilities)

* Provide engineering support as well as early system solution consultation to assigned customers. Provide design guidance and troubleshooting/debug/issue resolution throughout the customer's design & development phases.
* Execute programs to strengthen and leverage our customer and manufacturer relationships. Provide supplier support through initiatives such as market wide or customer site seminars and trainings, technical sales programs and technical marketing programs.
* Utilize engineering expertise to build and execute a business strategy that will properly promote Future's supplier products to the right engineering design customers in the market and achieve accelerated revenue growth.
* Document customer activity through CRM entries
* Attend supplier trainings and taking part in QBRs.

What You'll Need (qualifications)

* Electronics Engineering Degree
* Minimum 2-5 years Electronics R&D engineer or in a FAE / Field Application Engineering role with customer facing experience
* Experience in Embedded systems [MCU/MPU], Power Conversion [AC/DC and DC/DC], Analog Signal Chain, Electro-Mechanical and Interconnect technologies.
* Ability to multitask and prioritize
* Proactive and results-driven approach.
* Passionate about helping other engineers bring successful projects to market
* Must hold current Australian Driver's license, be currently located in Melbourne/Perth/Adelaide and a permanent resident of Australia.
