The role
ABOUT THE ROLE
Join JJ's as an Administrator / Accounts Payable to provide efficient day-to-day support for our Townsville depot.
We are looking for someone with a high level of customer service skills, the ability to learn quickly, and a willingness to undertake any task at hand, including excellent problem solving and time management skills.
This position is a permanent, full-time position – Monday to Friday – 8am–4pm.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receiving, reviewing and verifying invoices for accuracy and completeness before processing payments
- Ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices, adhering to payment terms and schedules
- Communicating with suppliers to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to invoices or payments
- Ensuring all payments are properly authorised in line with company policy
- General administration, data entry and office support
- Answering telephones and responding to email enquiries
- Managing incoming and outgoing correspondence ensuring timely responses, appropriate follow up, escalations and preparing outgoing correspondence as required
- Working closely with Operations, Sales, Administration and Management to ensure the flow of information
- Other duties as requested
ABOUT YOU
- Previous experience in Accounts Payable or a similar role is highly regarded
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with various stakeholders
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage and perform multiple tasks
- Able to work independently while also being a collaborative team player
- Proficient in office software and administrative systems, with a willingness to learn new tools and processes
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise workload
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic, with a commitment to achieving customer service of the highest standard
