Job Title: Fire Safety Business Development Manager
**About The Role:**
We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Safety Business Development Manager who will drive growth in our fire detection and suppression portfolio across NSW & QLD.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Identify and pursue new business opportunities across key verticals including commercial, industrial, mining, data centres, and infrastructure.
* Develop and manage relationships with fire contractors, consultants, OEMs, and key decision-makers.
* Promote and position our fire suppression products (e.g., clean agent systems, aerosol, inert) and detection (e.g., intelligent smoke detectors, panels) as preferred solutions.
* Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to provide clients with compliant, high-performance fire protection solutions.
* Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and technical briefings.
* Lead commercial negotiations and manage the tendering process for large-scale projects.
* Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes (AS/NZS standards), and competitor activity to inform strategy.
* Meet or exceed annual sales targets and KPIs aligned with national business goals.
**Required Skills & Qualifications:**
* Minimum 5+ years in business development, technical sales, or account management in the fire protection or building services industry.
* Strong knowledge of fire detection and suppression systems, with a preference for experience with similar product lines.
* Familiarity with AS/NZS fire safety codes, building regulations, and compliance requirements.
* Demonstrated success in developing new business and closing complex deals.
* Technical aptitude and ability to understand system design, schematics, and specifications.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
* Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of working independently and within a team.
* Tertiary qualification in engineering, business, or a related discipline (preferred).
