Job Description

As a key member of the culinary team, you will be responsible for maintaining high-quality food standards in a safe, efficient, and hygienic kitchen environment.

Your primary objective is to ensure that every dish that leaves our kitchen meets the highest standards of quality, presentation, and taste. You will work closely with the head chef and other team members to achieve this goal.

In addition to your cooking skills, you will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety protocols, and contributing to a positive and respectful team culture.

Culinary Expertise

•Anticipate and attend to guests' needs and desires immediately.
•Work in the kitchen as directed on a daily basis.
•Ensure that your work is carried out in a timely and efficient fashion.
•Minimize wastage at all times.
•Maintain a clean and safe working area at all times.
•Engaged in cooking, baking, pastry cooking, or butchering duties.
•Ensure that the established standard operating procedures are followed at all times.
•Help produce an environment of learning and professionalism.
•Carry out any other related duties as directed by the senior members of the kitchen staff.
•Maintain your self-appearance in accordance with the hotel's grooming standards.
•Maintain a harmonious relationship with other members of the service team.
•Maintain an acceptable degree of knowledge regarding food products.
•Comply with all of the established hotel operational policies & procedures.
•Have a full knowledge of, and practice all of the hotel's established workplace health and safety guidelines (WH&S).
