The role of a culinary artist involves creating a wide range of dishes using various cooking techniques.
* Cooking Methods:
* sautéing, roasting, grilling, frying, steaming, boiling, braising, stewing, soufflé-making, baking, broiling, pan-frying, deep-frying, stir-frying, basting, glazing, marinating, pickling, fermenting
* Task List:
* Prepare ingredients: chopping vegetables, meat cutting, fruit cutting, meat tenderizing
* Season dishes: herbs, spices, oils, marinades, buttery sauces
* Heat control and presentation matters: temperature regulation, cooking methods optimization
* Operate commercial kitchen equipment with efficiency and precision.
* Plating and Garnishing: visually appealing results for customers.
Qualifications and Experience Requirements:
Associate degree, Certificate III, Certificate IV, or Diploma in relevant hospitality qualification is required. At least 1 year of prior experience as a culinary artist is essential. Strong knowledge of cooking methods and operating kitchen tools and equipment is mandatory. Ability to work full-time is required.
