Child Matters | Teen Matters is looking for a receptionist/admin staff member for our allied health practice in central Busselton as a job share with our existing receptionist. We have incredible clients and a wonderful allied health team. You must have an interest in children and be a warm and welcoming presence when clients enter our practice. We are a growing practice, with a gorgeous newly renovated home style clinic and resident chickens and border collie.

Child Matters | Teen Matters is a small multidisciplinary service that focuses on children and teens with developmental and mental health concerns. We have an established reputation for providing excellence in service from dedicated professionals. We provide services to families from the greater South West area and offer additional home and school-based services. Child Matters | Teen Matters has a vibrant team and a family friendly practice. We provide clinical psychology, psychology, speech pathology, family support, counselling, early intervention and occupational therapy services as well as diagnostic services and social groups.

Our receptionist is the first point of contact for our clients and excellent interpersonal skills is a requirement of the role. We are seeking someone with a warm and friendly nature who is able to engage well with others including children and adolescents. A high level of professionalism is required in the role with the ability to be responsive to the needs of clients and referrers and staff. The role will involve following direction, adhering to our policies and procedures, and working within a team as well as independently. We are looking for someone who is organised, efficient and proactive to ensure the practice runs smoothly.

Your job will be to keep things running smoothly:

* answering phones and other enquiries
* using our diary system to schedule appointments
* liaise with schools to allow for school sessions to occur
* manage employee files to ensure permissions eg working with children remain up to date
* invoicing
* following up with clients / other health professionals on clinician request
* supporting the clinical team

Essential criteria

1. It is a busy role and one with multiple demands. Therefore, the ability to be able to remain calm, work autonomously and manage time effectively is critical.
2. Problem solving skills
3. Attention to detail
4. Excellent written and oral communication
5. Computer skills are essential and the successful applicant will be trained to use our user-friendly practice management software, as well as taking payments
6. An understanding of NDIS and Medicare desirable
7. Previous reception experience desirable
