Supported by a team of high performing scientific experts and NATA Laboratory, your specific responsibilities are likely to include… dependent upon experience:
* On-Site Technical duties (consulting, monitoring, analysis and reporting). Including Environmental Management, Chemical, Asbestos, Dust, Noise, Vibration, Water Quality, Mould & Fungi, Bacteria, Clandestine Labs.
* Investigation, management and monitoring of contaminated sites.
* Development applications providing specialist technical expertise in relation to environmental matters
* Developing and maintaining asbestos registers coupled with supervising asbestos remediation programs including Naturally Occurring Asbestos (NOA)
* Draft reports and recommend asbestos risk mitigation and management strategies as well as draft Asbestos Management Plans
* Ideally but not essential asbestos management experience along with an understanding of WH&S, consulting and risk management.
It is essential that you have:
* Tertiary qualifications in one of the following fields - Science, Environmental Science, Engineering, Building or Construction, Occupational Hygiene or Work Health and Safety disciplines.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* The ability to work effectively within a team environment, but also have the ability to work independently.
* Driver License and ability to travel when required.
Preferred candidates will have:
* Experience in Environmental and/or Occupational Hygiene Management
* Experience in Environmental monitoring and sampling (soil, air and/or water)
* Willingness to obtain an Asbestos Assessors License.
* Construction White Card
* Working With Children Check
Salary Package:
* A competitive salary, which includes paid overtime, under an approved Federal Award commensurate with experience and superannuation.
* Preferred location of Wagga Wagga, Orange or Dubbo with other locations at Tamworth and Newcastle.
