Our client is seeking an experienced Fleet and Workshop Manager to oversee fleet maintenance, workshop operations, compliance, and equipment performance within a highly regulated transport environment.
This leadership role is responsible for ensuring fleet reliability, workshop efficiency, regulatory compliance, and the safe transport of dangerous goods while leading a team of workshop personnel.
Responsibilities
* Managing daily workshop operations and fleet maintenance activities
* Developing and implementing preventative maintenance programs
* Ensuring compliance with dangerous goods, transport, and licensing requirements
* Coordinating repairs, servicing, inspections, and breakdown response
* Managing workshop budgets, inventory, and critical spare parts
* Monitoring fleet performance and identifying improvement opportunities
* Recommending fleet replacements, upgrades, and new equipment
* Leading, mentoring, and supporting workshop staff
* Promoting a strong safety culture and continuous improvement
Qualifications
* Previous experience managing fleet maintenance and workshop operations
* Experience within transport operations involving hazardous substances
* Strong leadership and team management skills
* Knowledge of maintenance compliance and fleet management systems
* Sound budgeting, planning, and problem‐solving abilities
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office
* Current Driver's Licence
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
