Overview
We’re seeking an AI Solutions Engineer to drive innovation within a leading organisation at the forefront of healthcare and life sciences. This role will play a key part in shaping digital transformation through AI, with applications spanning research, patient outcomes, manufacturing, and regulatory processes.
What you’ll do
- Partner with R&D;, clinical, and operational teams to identify automation and AI opportunities.
- Design, build, and deploy fit-for-purpose AI/ML solutions from predictive models to multi-agent workflows, leveraging platforms such as LangChain, Azure AI Services, Amazon Bedrock, and open-source LLMs.
- Integrate solutions into operational systems via APIs, data pipelines, and event-driven workflows.
- Champion AI governance, security, and compliance, ensuring adherence to industry regulations (FDA, TGA, GDPR).
- Promote AI best practice internally, supporting capability uplift across scientific and commercial teams.
About you
- Degree-qualified in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years’ software development experience, with strong skills in Python and modern frameworks.
- Hands-on experience delivering AI/ML solutions in production, ideally within regulated or complex industries.
- Familiarity with cloud AI ecosystems (Azure AI, AWS Bedrock, GCP Vertex AI) and tools for orchestration, testing, and deployment.
- Knowledge of responsible AI principles, compliance frameworks, and data privacy practices.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills able to translate scientific or business requirements into actionable AI solutions.
- Exposure to healthcare, pharmaceuticals, biotech, or life sciences environments is highly regarded.
- Work at the intersection of AI, data, and life sciences, shaping solutions that improve research, manufacturing, and patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional experts from data scientists to clinical researchers.
