The Services Delivery Manager ensures the services scope of the project is taken from the design phase to commissioning and handover within budget and to the expected quality. On a day to day basis, the SDM will:
* Design, develop and control the electrical systems in projects
* Oversee the design of building services from concept to IFC and shop drawings.
* Oversee the work and the output of the services consultants, review and critique their work to ensure value for money, buildability and compatibility with the intent.
* Oversee the procurement of services from material to subcontractor procurement.
* Assist the project director and project manager in subcontractor selection.
* Oversee the development of ITPs and QA/QC processes for the site and offsite works
* Oversee the installation and commissioning of services on site, ensuring they meet project specifications and standards.
* Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting on construction sites to minimise downtime and avoid rework.
* Reviewing the drawings and documentation received from consultants, ensure coordination with other discipline and clash detection.
* Approve consultants work for various design deliverables.
* Managing and monitoring all assigned services aspects of projects.
* Ensuring all deadlines and budgetary requirements are met.
* Utilise effective time management skills including sequencing of work of own and resource time management.
Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
* Liaising with other engineers, project team members and clients to ensure overall customer satisfaction.
* Work closely with project managers, architects, and other engineering disciplines to align services with overall project goals.
* Support the wider team at CC Pines, providing training and ensuring quality control.
Ensure safety and quality standards
* Completing quality assurance on all services components and projects and writing up reports.
* Ensuring health and safety codes are always obeyed.
* Promote a safety‐first culture with a focus on risk assessment and prevention
Leadership – Manage a high‐performance team
* Select and train qualified individuals to the services engineering team
* Carry out monthly EDM with direct reports.
* Coach, support and lead members of the team by answering questions and aiding as needed
* Demonstrate sound management skills by managing work and performance of subcontractors to achieve outcomes.
* Coordinate development activities for team members
Skills / Experience
* Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
* Minimum of 10-15 years' experience in engineering, specifically in a construction site setting.
* Proficient in using CAD software and other engineering and services design tools.
* Strong understanding of the latest services engineering standards and safety regulations.
* Experience in project management.
* MS Office.
* A sound understanding of health and safety regulations.
* A valid driver's license.
* Ability to make decisions under pressure.
* Excellent time management and diagnostic skills.
* Ability to work in a team and always remain professional.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Licenses / Certifications
* Construction white card
* Certified and licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE), if required by state law.
