Strategic HR Advisor

The role of Strategic HR Advisor is to act as a strategic consultant to management, providing expert advice and guidance on human resources strategies that support business goals.

This position involves developing and implementing HR strategies, managing employee relations, identifying training needs, supporting talent acquisition and retention, and ensuring compliance with HR regulations.

As part of this role, the successful candidate will also contribute to the development, maintenance, and implementation of the Fitness for Work and Return-to-Work Program at our organisation. Working in partnership with all levels of our organisation, the role provides advice, guidance, and assistance to maintain health and safety, and workers compensation legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop and implement HR strategies that support business goals.
* Manage employee relations and resolve conflicts in a fair and timely manner.
* Identify training needs and provide recommendations for professional development.
* Support talent acquisition and retention initiatives.
* Ensure compliance with HR regulations and legislation.

Requirements:

* Relevant qualifications in Human Resources or a related field.
* High level knowledge and experience in Health, Safety, and/or Case Management.
* Accredited Return to Work Coordinator in NSW and working knowledge of NSW workers compensation and NSW WHS legislation, or a willingness to obtain.
* Proven experience as a HR business partner or similar role, with a good knowledge of local government award, and relevant HR legislation.
* High level of facilitation skills and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with managers and staff, utilising effective communication, and influencing skills.
* Experience and passion for driving positive organisational culture, and continuous improvement programs.
* Proven ability to manage multiple projects with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
* High level of oral and written communication skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
