Support Worker Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced support worker to build a relationship with a 15-year-old autistic male who lives with his loving family.
This role entails providing emotional and practical assistance to support the development of independent living skills, emotional regulation, and connection with the community after school.
The ideal candidate will be committed to helping people with disabilities live a good life and work within a trauma-informed and person-centered framework.
Key Responsibilities:
* Providing emotional and practical support to assist with daily living tasks
* Assisting with emotional regulation and connecting with the community
* Building a positive relationship with the individual and their family
Requirements:
* Ability and willingness to be flexible and provide support on school days and during holidays
* Strong interpersonal skills to support a sense of safety and trying new things
* A good level of fitness
* Current Driver's License and road-worthy vehicle
* NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain
* Medication Assist and Manual Handling Certificates Training certificates or the willingness to obtain
* Epilepsy Management Training certificates or the willingness to obtain
