Blue & White Dry Cleaners – Neutral Bay is a family-owned and operated business established in 1970, specialising in premium dry cleaning and garment care services. Using advanced Union and Sankosha dry-cleaning machines with environmentally friendly hydrocarbon solvents, we provide meticulous care across everyday garments, couture, bridal wear, leather, fur, suede, furnishings, and in-house tailoring.
We are currently seeking two experienced Retail Managers (Shop Managers) to oversee daily operations and manage a large, skilled team in our busy Neutral Bay location.
Position Details
* Position: Retail Manager (Shop Manager)
* Employment Type: Full-Time (2 Positions)
* Salary: $75,000 – $80,000 per annum + Superannuation
* Hours: 38 hours per week
* Weekend Work: Required
Key Duties & Responsibilities
* Plan, organise, and manage the day-to-day operations of the retail dry-cleaning business
* Lead, supervise, roster, and train a team of 20+ staff, including counter staff, garment care specialists, pressers, tailors, and supervisors
* Establish and maintain service standards, ensuring consistent quality across all garment care services
* Deliver a high level of customer service, handling special garment instructions and resolving customer enquiries and complaints
* Monitor workflow efficiency between front-of-house and back-of-house operations
* Manage stock levels, consumables, equipment usage, and supplier coordination
* Maintain records of sales, staffing, rosters, and financial transactions
* Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety policies, environmental standards, and company procedures
* Assist with pricing strategies, promotions, and service improvements
* Work across weekdays and weekends as part of the management roster
Essential Requirements
* Minimum 1 year of experience as a Retail Manager, Shop Manager, or in a similar supervisory role
* Relevant qualification in Retail Management, Business Management, Hospitality Management, or equivalent experience
* Proven experience managing large teams (20+ staff)
* Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused retail environment
* Flexibility to work weekends and rotating shifts
