About the Casual Teaching Community
The Casual Teaching Community is open for eligible candidates to register an Expression of Interest (EoI) for casual employment with Western Sydney University (WSU). The Casual Teaching Community enables the School to access suitable and experienced individuals for casual employment opportunities across a broad range of business areas at short notice, subject to the following:
* Admission is ad hoc or intermittent; no guarantee of ongoing or regular employment.
* Application does not guarantee an offer of casual employment.
* Contact only if an opportunity matches skills and experience.
The Opportunity
Lectures, tutorials, workshops and marking in the Bachelor of Music program, including core and major areas: Music Performance, Composition, Music Production, Music Theory, Musicology, Arranging Music, Music Technology, Intercultural Music Practice and Music Analysis. Position based on Penrith campus, but based at Kingswood Campus.
Eligibility
* Recent and relevant teaching experience at tertiary level or evidence of teaching capability.
* Relevant expertise in at least one of the following areas: Music Performance, Composition, Music Production, Music Theory, Musicology, Arranging Music, Music Technology, Intercultural Music Practice and Music Analysis.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse academic environment.
