About Our School
Marymount Primary is a co-educational Catholic primary school catering for over 1,000 students and located on the southern Gold Coast. We are a predominantly 6-stream school with an inclusive education policy, on the same campus as Marymount College. We provide a warm, caring environment with holistic education, including technology, sport, music, drama and French, plus daily school officer support in modern facilities. Responsibilities
- Creating a nurturing and learner-centred environment aligned with curriculum policies, documents and practices.
- Collaboratively developing and implementing quality curriculum programs and pedagogy, evaluating effectiveness, and reporting student progress to students, parents and the community.
- Collaborating with the leadership team, teachers and staff to foster a positive school culture and participate in the professional life of the school.
- Engaging in professional learning to enhance student outcomes.
- Supporting pastoral care and the moral and spiritual development of students.
- Managing a Case Load within Years 3 and 4, including data collection, analysis and interpretation for intervention programs.
- Overseeing intervention implementation with ongoing progress monitoring and reporting to parents and staff.
- Collaborating with specialists and external providers to support adjustments for learners, including creation and implementation of Individual Curriculum Plans (ICP).
- Working with parents, staff and external providers on Enrolment Application Support for students with disabilities.
- Coordinating timetable for School Officers for in-class support and intervention.
About You
- Experience in creating a supportive, learner-focused classroom aligned with the Australian Curriculum.
- Expertise in designing and delivering effective curriculum programs in line with the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.
- Commitment to engaging with colleagues, students and parents to enrich learning experiences and outcomes.
- Passion to support students’ spiritual and moral development.
Eligibility and Safeguarding
- Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.
- Current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers.
