General Manager
Good 2 Eat Catering | Sunshine Coast
Good 2 Eat Catering is an award-winning, values-led off-site catering business based on the Sunshine Coast. We deliver weddings, corporate events, private functions, and large-scale catering, with a strong focus on quality food, genuine hospitality, and looking after our people.
As we enter our next stage of growth, we are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead the business day to day.
About the Role
As General Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the business. You will lead our people, oversee operations, and own commercial performance, allowing the CEO to focus on long-term strategy and growth.
This is a hands-on leadership role. While you won't be required to work every event, you will be visible and present across the business. This includes attending key events, conducting spot checks, and maintaining strong relationships both internally and externally.
What We Value
At Good 2 Eat Catering, how we work matters just as much as what we deliver.
Our leaders are expected to:
* Put people first, while still holding clear accountability
* Communicate openly, respectfully, and consistently
* Maintain a positive, inclusive team culture, even during busy periods
* Lead with calm confidence rather than reactivity
* Take ownership of outcomes and decisions
The General Manager plays a key role in protecting and strengthening our team culture.
Key Responsibilities

* Be present at events as required, including spot checks and overseas of event delivery
* Attend and represent the business at industry and networking events
* Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and performance management
* Maintain food safety, WHS, and compliance standards
* Manage client escalations and protect the business's reputation
* Provide clear reporting and communication to the CEO
Key Performance Measures
* Food cost: 21% or below
* Total wages: 35% or below
* Event profitability maintained or improved
* Strong team retention and engagement
* Consistently positive client feedback
About You
* Proven experience in a senior leadership or general management role
* Background in hospitality, catering, events, or a similar operational environment

* Strong commercial and financial understanding
* A people-focused leader who can also have clear, honest conversations
* Organised, steady under pressure, and confident making decisions
* Aligned with a values-driven, team-oriented business
This role is not suited to someone looking for a step-up without proven accountability at a whole-business level.
What We Offer
* Salary: $110,000 – $120,000 + super (based on experience)
* Performance-based bonus structure linked to KPIs
* A senior leadership role with genuine autonomy and trust
