About the Role As the SCM – Medical and Dental Equipment (MDE) Specialist, you will provide high-level expertise in supply chain, procurement, and inventory management for medical and dental equipment portfolios. This contract role focuses on optimising SAP-enabled processes and ensuring effective lifecycle management of MDE assets.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, implement, and optimise SAP S/4HANA Materials Management (MM) processes for procurement, maintenance, and inventory management of medical and dental equipment.
* Provide expert functional guidance in SAP MM, including configuration, testing, defect resolution, and process improvement.
* Collaborate with clinical, logistics, engineering, and procurement stakeholders for accurate asset planning and sustainment.
* Develop and maintain materials and equipment master data, ensuring compliance and operational excellence.
* Lead workshops, requirements gathering, and process mapping to align with business needs and SAP best practices.
* Analyse supply chain performance metrics and recommend improvement strategies.
* Support integration between MM and other SAP modules (PM, WM/EWM, FI).
* Mentor junior team members and participate in knowledge-sharing activities.
* Ensure governance, risk, audit, and compliance requirements are met.
* Assist in change management, training, and stakeholder engagement during system rollouts or upgrades.
The Successful Candidate To be considered, you must:
* Be an Australian Citizen with a current AGSVA Baseline Security Clearance (NV1 or above preferred). Candidates with Baseline clearance who are willing to secure higher clearance will also be considered.
* Have proven experience as an SAP SCM MM functional consultant, ideally with SAP S/4HANA exposure.
* Demonstrate strong understanding of supply chain and procurement processes for medical, dental, clinical, or technical equipment.
* Be skilled in SAP configuration, functional testing, defect management, and production support.
* Have experience working in complex, cross-functional environments with multiple SAP modules.
* Possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
* Experience in Defence, healthcare logistics, or regulated supply environments is highly desirable.
* Experience with data migration, master data governance, and process automation is beneficial.
* Show ability to work independently, manage stakeholders, and drive continuous improvement.
