Gilmore College is an Independent Public School which opened in 2008, continuing 52 previous years of secondary education provided by Kwinana Senior High School. The Role
The successful applicant would coordinate Vocational Education and Training (VET)/Workplace Learning (WPL) operations. Locating industry placements and ensuring collaborative and positive partnerships with employers, you will assist in developing and introducing systems and strategies that provide a responsive and effective WPL program.
Effective planning and organisational skills are important for this role as the successful applicant will be required to administer records and databases using a variety of software packages and assist in the planning and sustainability of work placements.
The successful applicant will also provide advice and communicate with the school community and parents to ensure suitable post school outcomes for students. Liaising with key stakeholders, the Workplace Coordinator will track student attendance, extra support needs, and behavioural issues.

Eligibility

* be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
* obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start; and
* consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.

o Demonstrated knowledge of VET and/or WPL programs and the ability to facilitate school/industry partnerships.
o Demonstrated well developed keyboarding and computer skills, including a working knowledge of databases, spreadsheets and word processing.
o Demonstrated well developed written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
o Demonstrated well developed interpersonal skills, including the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a team environment.
