**The Opportunity**:

Due to continued growth, we have a fantastic opportunity to join the Credit & Collections team where you can build on your previous experience supporting customers in early stage (0-60 days arrears) collections and hardships. You will work closely with the Head of Collections and Credit, in a small and supportive team environment, where the focus is on quality of service, rather than quantity / transactional KPIs.
**Typical duties include**:
- Establish a strong, trusting relationship with customers
- Assessing accounts to determine outstanding debt and discussing collection process to early stage customers
- Managing customer enquiries, delivering exceptional customer service
- Ensuring all information is accurately recorded and file action notes are taken
- Escalating urgent maters to the team leader for advice/direction
- Ensuring all activity conducted is compliant with the Privacy Act, NCCP Act
- Independently managing a portfolio and prioritising work according to level of urgency
**Skills & experience required**:
- Previous experience in Collections (preferably mortgages or commercial lending)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to provide a high level of service to customers
- Ability to build and maintain relationships, and communicate effectively with all stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail, ability to prioritise and multi task effectively, and ensure the meeting of strict deadlines
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently to achieve maximum results and customer satisfaction
- Adaptability to change and willingness to learn
