Escrow.com is the world's largest and most trusted online escrow service. Buyers and sellers rely on us to hold their funds while multi-million-dollar deals are completed. Domain names, vehicles, even entire businesses… you name it, we help people buy and sell it.
Now we're looking for a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join us in Sydney.
If you join a mega-cap technology company as the 10,000th hire, you may struggle to see the impact you're making. Join a startup, and you might work on the latest fad with few mentors, and your work may not change the world. Freelancer Group (which owns Escrow.com) is a just-right-sized business: small enough to know your colleagues well, but large enough to ensure stability and resources.
Working for us isn't your typical job. We tackle dynamic, real-world problems daily: this isn't a boring corporate career bound by rules. Here, you'll work on diverse, global internet-scale challenges that make a meaningful difference. You'll rapidly build your skills across functions.
You'll build, test, and deploy features that scale, directly impacting tens of millions of users worldwide. Your work will include architecting web applications, writing optimized SQL for large datasets, structuring data and logic, and designing high-quality APIs, using open-source tools and commercial software.
Our tech stack includes Python-based Flask and Golang microservices, React.js front-end, and SQL RDBMS systems, all running in AWS. You can choose your OS; most of our developers use Ubuntu Linux.

- Experience with relational databases and SQL, preferably MySQL
- Interest or background in web engineering at scale
