Payroll Officer - Payroll Management Expert
Job Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Officer to join our team in Sydney, Australia.
About the Role:
The successful applicant will have 1-2 years of hands-on payroll experience and strong knowledge of payroll systems.
They will also possess excellent problem-solving skills, strong project and people management skills, and exceptional attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
* Liaising with payroll vendors, IT, and credit and accounts teams to ensure deadlines are met.
* Ensuring Single Touch payroll is completed weekly and issuing payslips by Thursday morning each week.
* Assisting with level 1+ payroll queries from the team, business, and external parties.
* Interpreting modern awards, raising discrepancies, and resolving issues.
* Preparing quarterly surveys for the Australian Bureau of Statistics - QLD, VIC & NSW.
