ABOUT THE POSITION
The position will be full-time, and include managing all of the business financial functions including general administration duties and supporting management. You will be based at our head office in Humpty Doo.
POSITION CRITERIA
Experience Required
The below knowledge and skills are an essential requirement of the position:
* Bookkeeping or accounting qualification will be essential
* Minimum 5 years in a Financial Management Environment (small to medium business)
* Substantial experience with payroll, industrial awards and liaising with the ATO
* Substantial experience managing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
* Understanding of cashflow management and ability to report to management
* Experience in bank reconciliations
* Experience with general project administration tasks, bank guarantees and retentions
* Extensive experience and knowledge of Xero accounting system including reports and custom reports
* Intermediate or advanced MS Office Skills - Word, Excel, Outlook
* Knowledge, willingness and ability to work in compliance with applicable Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality legislation/regulations
Qualities Required
* Ability to communicate effectively with all walks of life including tradies
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team
* The love of technology and ability to learn new systems
* Well-developed organisational and time management skills, and demonstrated ability to prioritise to meet deadlines
* Excellent interpersonal, literacy and numeracy skills
* Proven ability to liaise with internal and external business stakeholders
Preferred Experience
The below knowledge and skills will be an advantage but are not essential:
* Building or Civil Industry experience
* Understanding of NT Government tendering and project processes
* Experience with Simpro
