About the role
An opportunity exists for a Catering Assistant to join our team at Gracehaven Aged Care.
Your day to day tasks will include:
* Assisting in the preparation of various meals
* Maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen and equipment;
* Assisting with the servicing of meals, including setting up and cleaning the dining room, trolleys and trays.
About you
You are an enthusiastic reliable worker who enjoys being a team player and yet can work autonomously. You have compassion for the elderly and are passionate about maintaining an environment suitable to their needs. You are a hands-on individual always looking for variety.
Ideally you will have:
* Certificate II in Kitchen Operations or similar is desirable but not essential;
* Experience working in the Aged Care industry is desirable;
* Experience working in commercial kitchens;
* Willingness to work a variety of shifts across a 7 day week;
* Possess or have the ability to acquire a current National Police Certificate.
