Grade 2 Occupational Therapist Acute Inpatient | Regional Victoria | Full-Time A leading regional public health service in North West Victoria is seeking a Grade 2 Occupational Therapist to join its established Allied Health team within the acute inpatient setting. Supporting a large regional community, this organisation employs over 900 staff across a 170 bed health service delivering a broad range of acute, subacute and community-based services. The Role As a Grade 2 Occupational Therapist, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality occupational therapy services across an inpatient caseload while contributing to the development of the broader occupational therapy service. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will support patient recovery, functional independence and safe discharge planning, while also mentoring junior clinicians and students. Key Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive occupational therapy assessment and intervention for inpatient clients across acute and subacute settings Develop and implement complex treatment plans based on evidence-based practice Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team to support patient care and discharge planning Provide clinical support and supervision to Grade 1 therapists, students and allied health assistants Participate in ward rounds, case conferences and family meetings Contribute to service development, quality improvement and department initiatives Maintain high-quality clinical documentation and participate in departmental data monitoring About You To be successful in this role, you will bring: AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist A Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (or equivalent) Demonstrated experience delivering clinical services consistent with a Grade 2 level Strong skills in functional assessment, discharge planning and equipment prescription Excellent communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills The ability to manage a complex caseload and prioritise effectively Experience supervising students or junior clinicians will be highly regarded.
