About The Role And Team

We have an opportunity for a full time Catering Assistant to join our growing Front of House team based in our Sydney office. The Front of House team forms part of Office Services which includes Reception, Service Hub (mailroom), Switchboard, Facilities, and Files & Securities.

In this role, you will report directly into our Catering Co-ordinator in Sydney to deliver exceptional service for employee and client meetings, as well as corporate functions. You will ensure all events are catered appropriately and maintain a high standard of presentation across client areas, breakout spaces, and kitchen facilities. Your approach will be friendly, professional, and focused on creating a positive experience for all guests.

Responsibilities

* liaising with internal teams regarding catering requests and booking/ordering catering for meetings;
* food preparation, set up and serving of catering for client and firm events;
* ensuring compliance with food safety hygiene and food handling/preparation procedures;
* ensuring food preparation areas and associated appliances and equipment meet appropriate standards of maintenance and cleanliness;
* maintaining, cleaning and restocking kitchens on all levels;
* maintaining and stocking storage room supplies;
* setup of weekly Friday night drinks, including food ordering, preparation and setup of drinks;
* assisting reception team when needed by preparing coffee and refreshments for client and internal meetings; and
* ensuring internal meeting rooms are promptly serviced and cleared following meetings.

About You

You will ideally have the following skills and experience:

* minimum 12 months' experience in a similar role within a corporate environment, supported by strong customer service and communication skills;
* relevant certifications, including a hospitality qualification or Level 1 Food Handlers' Certificate, Responsible Service of Alcohol, and solid understanding of food safety and hygiene;
* proven ability to multitask, work autonomously and under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and collaborate effectively as part of a team;
* excellent organisational and planning skills, with strong problem-solving capability and computer literacy; and
* demonstrated interest in, and flair for, catering.
