Staff Specialist Cairns Inpatient
* ASAP
* Brand new facility
* One of 5 inpatient teams supported by registrar, RMO and interns. 5th team is a new PICU dedicated team (not required for this role). The ward operates off geographically based teams (so they allocate patients based on the suburb they live in), which means all teams attend to all levels of acuity.
* Forensic order and treatment authority patients are frequent.
* Monday to Friday
* No nights
* No weekends
* No on call
Staff Specialist Cairns Adult Community
* ASAP
* This position is with adult community-based teams within the Mental Health Service. The position requires the Consultant Psychiatrist to provide relief as required across these teams, who provide a wide range of MHAOD community-based support across Cairns and Surrounds. The services include telephone-based intake, acute crisis support, rehabilitation, perinatal and continuing community management of people with serious mental illness.

Staff Specialist Cairns Remote East
* ASAP
* Minimum 6 week booking
* Fly-in, Fly-out position to the Torres and Cape serving remote communities (Torres Strait, Northern Peninsula and Cooktown/Hopevale/Wujal Wujal). The typical schedule is 1 week on outreach and the other based from cairns V/C
* Monday to Friday – travel can occasionally fall outside of these hours during outreach
* Supported by registrar and GP with advanced skills MH
* Outreach accommodation and travel is arranged by the service
* No nights
* No weekends
* No on call

About You
* Current registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
* Fellow with Royal Australia & New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (essential)
* Provide high level of quality clinical care
* Demonstrated high level of professionalism and leadership skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
