We are seeking a skilled specialist to work on critical facility maintenance, repairs and installations. The ideal candidate will have considerable judgement and initiative, with deep understanding of standard operating procedures.
The successful candidate will perform specialized preventative and corrective maintenance on-site to critical facility components and/or systems. They will also operate and maintain plumbing, fire suppression, and life-safety systems, and implement energy efficiency measures.
Responsibilities include:
* Facility / Infrastructure Maintenance
*
o Perform specialized tasks using considerable judgement and initiative
o Monitor Building Monitoring System (BMS) and resolve alarms for specialized issues requiring considerable judgement and implications to resolve
o Operate and maintain plumbing, fire suppression, and life-safety systems
o Implement energy efficiency measures
o Assist team members in coordinating critical infrastructures
o Work on assignments requiring considerable judgment and initiative
* Vendor Support
*
o Coordinate and direct vendors on skilled tasks to ensure that maintenance activities are carried out per standards and requirements
o Assist with the creation and submission of scripts for maintenance
o Track and implement the work approval process for service providers for critical maintenance
o In cooperation with vendors, change/update technical files for plants and equipment ensuring files and builds are up-to-date
* Site Administration & Incident Support

o Perform specialized site logs and data gathering for issuing of permits, such as Maintenance Operation Protocol (MOPs) and scripts
o Identify Single Points of Failure (SPOFs) and make recommendations for solutions
o Respond to all on-site incidents, including failures, significant problems and delays
o Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and make recommendations for solutions
o Support on-site staff during incidents
o Demonstrate and support processes and procedures are followed and adhered to
* Work Orders & Additional Projects

o Complete skilled work requests and circuit installations
o Perform advanced troubleshooting and maintenance of office equipment
o Makes moderate changes to mechanical, electrical and specialized systems, as directed
o Carry out more complex infrastructure projects
o Support lifecycle maintenance/end of life infrastructure projects and critical replacements
o May recommend infrastructure projects
* Collaboration

o Collaborate with others to resolve difficult facility incidents
o Effectively collaborate within the department; may mentor team members on skilled maintenance activities
o Inform stakeholders of inventory needs to maintain optimal stock levels of critical parts and equipment
o Act as a mentor to others in resolving incidents
Requirements:
