Hunter & Barrel is firing up a brand-new location in Adelaide this October - and we're on the hunt for an experienced and passionate Assistant Kitchen Manager/Sous Chef to bring it to life.

Full time salaried positions with training commencing at The Meat & Wine Co Adelaide immediately.

As Assistant Kitchen Manager, you'll work closely with the Head Chef to support the smooth day-to-day running of the kitchen. From maintaining quality and consistency during service to assisting with team supervision, prep coordination, and food safety, you'll play a key role in ensuring the kitchen operates efficiently and to the highest standards.

What we are looking for:

* At least 2 years kitchen management experience in a similar high-volume environment.
* A genuine passion for food, people and the overall hospitality experience
* A minimum Certificate III Commercial Cookery Qualification
* Previous experience in cooking over a flame or char grill
* Leadership and people development experience
* Effective problem solving and time management skills
* Ability to take initiative, work independently however foster an effective team environment
* Display excellent presentation, organisation and communication skills
* Working knowledge of OH&S/WH&S
* Flexible availability over a 7-day rotating roster.
