A Day in the Life
Medtronic has an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Specialist to join our Acute Care and Monitoring (ACM) business in South Australia! This role involves delivering world-class education on our range of products, making a difference in patients’ lives.
The Clinical Specialist provides industry-leading product, therapy, and clinical training and education to customers in an assigned geographical location, facilitating access, safety, and support for patients. If you are interested in a career in medical devices, apply today!
Our newly formed Acute Care & Monitoring (ACM) business, formerly Patient Monitoring and Respiratory Interventions, collaborates with the global healthcare community to solve clinically meaningful problems with technologies for blood oxygen management, respiratory compromise, and perioperative complications.
Responsibilities may include the following:
* Plan, organize,, conduct, and evaluate educational programs for stakeholders including Anaesthetists, Intensivists, Nurses, Biomedical engineers, Surgeons, and Registrars.
* Deliver regular in-services and presentations on products and their clinical applications.
* Support field personnel to provide optimal outcomes and service for customers.
* Provide technical backup during clinical or surgical procedures as required.
* Partner with clinical and sales teams to promote customer support and sales opportunities.
* Develop workshops and deliver technical product and therapy education, including training for new hires and recertification.
* Participate in conventions, forums, and meetings to increase product awareness.
* Identify and facilitate growth opportunities with sales and clinical support teams.
* Monitor education needs and skills development in the marketplace, working closely with customers and staff.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
* A Bachelor’s Degree, Diploma, or High School qualification with relevant experience.
* Experience in a clinical setting (e.g., in-theatre) or within the medical device industry.
* Willingness to travel (specify percentage) and a valid driver’s license.
