Operations Financial Analyst

This is a permanent full-time position based in Melbourne's South with flexible working from home arrangements.
About the Role:
You will business partner with the Senior Director of Supply Chain and the broader Operations team, driving performance across all areas by providing accurate and timely insights that enable the team to effectively manage production and supply chain.
* Provide ongoing business partnering to enable Operations to achieve financial and operational targets.
* Play a key role in the month end close process, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
* Investigate and report on plant variances and KPIs.
* Prepare the monthly forecast for production, supply chain and Ag.
* Develop and/or implement necessary processes to support internal forecasting/reporting requirements.
* Perform moderate to complex cost analysis and audits associated with the cost accounting function.
* Provide financial support for productivity initiatives, including allocation, tracking and reporting.
* Play a key role in the preparation and compilation of the AOP (Annual Operating Plan).
* Provide financial support for capital investment analysis and fixed asset accounting.
* Provide ad hoc financial analysis as requested.
* Active involvement and participation in plant LOC activities.
Requirements:
* Degree in Finance and a professional accounting qualification (CA or CPA)
* Minimum 3 years general business and financial experience
* Experience in operations, manufacturing or related industry preferred
* Experience with financial modelling
* Continuous Improvement: experience identifying areas for continuous improvement and/or cost reductions and making recommendations for enhancement.
