As we continue to welcome visitors, we have an opportunity for an experienced and energetic Retail & Photography Manager to join our team. This position is suitable for someone with previous experience as a Flagship Store Manager. At Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, we deliver a fast-paced retail experience combined with excellent guest service. Our Retail and Photography Team takes pride in their work, presentation of outlets, and meeting/exceeding sales targets.
About The Role
You will report directly to the Head of Commercial, using your expertise to maximize revenue and minimize costs across the department, meeting budgets. You will supervise the Retail & Photography team across multiple outlets, ensuring sales objectives are met, and assist in recruitment, training, development, and performance management.
You will work on the floor, lead by example, and assist the team and guests as needed. You will support training and development, ensure compliance with policies, and develop initiatives to drive sales.
About You
Successful candidates will have retail managerial experience, effective communication skills, and the ability to liaise with stakeholders. Additional skills include:
* Developing initiatives to drive sales
* Ensuring stock replenishment and presentation to high standards
* Leading by example on the floor
* Creating an energetic team culture focused on guest experience
* Managing wage budgets and staff across multiple outlets
* Willingness to work outdoors in all weather, with native wildlife
* Flexibility to work weekends, school holidays, and public holidays
