Job Title: Training & Development Coordinator

Location: Phillip Island, Victoria, onsite.

Employment Type: Part-time – 0.6 FTE

Reports to: Head of Operations & Administration

Christian Youth Camps is seeking an experienced administrative person to join our Head Office team as the Training and Development Coordinator.

The position is permanent Part-time – 0.6 FTE.

Christian Youth Camps Limited (CYC) exists to create opportunities for people to personally encounter the living God through camping, conferencing, facilities and programs. We sum this up in three words: Breathe, Experience, Discover.

CYC operates 5 sites across Victoria and 1 in Tasmania – CYC The Island, CYC Phillip Island Adventure Resort, CYC Forest Edge, CYC Adanac, CYC City, and CYC Blue Lagoon. Across our sites we also run outreach holiday camps and offer leadership development programs. These campsites are supported by our CEO and Head Office team, based on Phillip Island.

About the Role:

The Training & Development Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the many details around our tailored training programs that are designed to expand the talents and skills of CYC staff across all levels, whilst ensuring training programs are in alignment with CYC's values and objectives.

Key Duties include:


•I ensure that all Training & Development strategies are in line with CYC's values and objectives.


•I work to develop and implement a strategy for the continual improvement of Training & Development programs across CYC.


•I keep up to date with the latest industry research and advice on Training & Development trends and incorporate these into CYC's programs.


•I regularly consult with the relevant supervisors and staff in relation to training & development needs.


•I develop training programs based on the training needs identified, ensuring that they align with CYC's objectives.

The successful applicant must have the following:


•Minimum 3 years' experience in an administrative role


•Proficient in the use of cloud-based software


•A high level of attention to detail


•The ability to maintain confidentiality


•Be able to use your initiative to get the job done


•Work well in a team environment
