This respected privately owned construction firm is on the lookout for an AP Officer to join their team in a wide-scoping role. Finance team is circa 6 individuals, ensuring that this role is offered a outstanding amount of support. Our client are based in North Sydney and offer 2 days of WFH, with a 3pm Friday finish!
**The role**
- Manage, check and process weekly / monthly invoices and payments to sub-contractors & suppliers in accordance with company processes and policies
- Preparation and circulation of daily and weekly reports
- Liaising with outsourced AP data entry team (overseas team)
- Reply/request sub-contractor statements
- Distribute invoices to PMs for approval, via Jobpac (ERP)
- Track and ensure supplier/sub-contractor insurances are valid and filed accordingly
- Attend to supplier invoice payment queries
- Reconcile company credit card statements
- Reconciliation of creditor accounts against monthly statements
- Assist with the month end AP reconciliation
- Lead the role out of the Optical Character Recognition technology to replace the outsourced data entry function
- Assist with spend analysis and procurement to target cost savings
**About you**
- 2+ years AP experience
- Strong communicator - both written and verbal
